Besides the Exploration ladder, Wild Water World has five PvE modes. Trial (level 14) is three daily dungeons you sweep for EXP and Enhancement Stones. Expedition (level 30, and day 15 of the world in Season 1) is a 15-stage run with 10 heroes whose HP carries over from fight to fight; it resets every 48 hours. Extreme Trial (level 20) is a limited-time score attack where you make the enemy stronger for more points. The World Boss (World map, day 3 in Season 1) is a Marine Beast Lab Guard that changes with the day of the week; its milestones pay for your best single hit. Mechanical Slug (level 18) and the Hero Themed Dungeon (level 16) are events that only run when the server schedules them.
When each mode opens
| Mode | Player level | Season 1 | Season 2 on | How often |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Trial | 14 | any day | any day | 3 sweeps a day per dungeon, more with VIP and the Monthly Card |
| Hero Themed Dungeon | 16 | event only | event only | 10 stages per event |
| World Boss | 16 (World) | day 3 | day 1 | daily reward for your first attack |
| Mechanical Slug | 18 | event only | event only | one attack window a day during the event |
| Extreme Trial | 20 | event only | event only | unlimited retries while the event runs |
| Expedition | 30 | day 15 | day 1 | one run per 48-hour cycle |
"Day" means the day of your world, counted as on Seasons. You need the level and the day. At level 30 on day 12 of a Season 1 world, Expedition is still locked and tells you how many days and hours are left.
Trial
Trial has three dungeons of 140 stages each: the Hero EXP Dungeon, the Enhancement Stone Dungeon and the Marine Beast EXP Dungeon. You clear stages in order, and each dungeon lets you sweep your furthest cleared stage for its sweep reward. Each dungeon page lists every stage's level, power and rewards.
Each dungeon counts its sweeps separately. You get 3 a day, plus 1 at VIP 4, 2 at VIP 7 or 5 at VIP 12, plus 3 with the Standard Monthly Card. The first sweep of the day in each dungeon is free and every later one costs 50 Diamonds.
Example. At VIP 7 with the Monthly Card you have 3 + 2 + 3 = 8 sweeps per dungeon. Using all of them costs 7 × 50 = 350 Diamonds per dungeon, or 1,050 Diamonds for all three.
Expedition
Expedition has 31 dungeons (Expedition Stage 1 to 31), each with 15 stages. You take 10 heroes into a dungeon and fight its stages in order. Your heroes keep their damage from one fight to the next, so you need more than one strong team.
Unlocking dungeons
Dungeon 1 opens with Expedition itself. Each later dungeon has three conditions, all shown on the entry screen:
- Complete Previous Stage: clear the dungeon before it.
- Player reaches Lv.N: 30 for Dungeon 1, then 2 more per dungeon, up to 90 for Dungeon 31.
- Own N Legendary Hero(es) of X-Star or above: for example 4 heroes at 2-Star for Dungeon 1. Exotic heroes count too, even though the text only says Legendary. The star count is in big stars: 2-Star is 10★, 3-Star 15★, 4-Star 20★ and 5-Star 25★ (see Hero Stars & Skills).
The full list is in the table at the end of this section. From Dungeon 15 on, every dungeon asks for 25★ heroes, and Dungeon 30 and 31 need 13 of them.
Running a dungeon
- Pick 10 heroes. The picker starts with the heroes of your Fleet I and Fleet II, which can be more than 10; remove extras until you have exactly 10. After you enter, the 10 are locked in until the dungeon resets.
- Set a formation and fight. HP carries over between fights. A hero at 0 HP can't be placed in the formation again, and the shown team power only counts heroes who are still standing.
- After a win, pick one of two buffs. Most buffs stack up to 5 times for the rest of the run, such as All Hero HP +8% per stack. Two are one-off: Restores 30% HP to all surviving heroes and Randomly revives 1 fallen hero.
- After stage 15, claim the dungeon's completion reward.
A loss does not move you forward; change the formation and fight the same stage again. Every 48 hours the dungeon resets (the stage screen shows Refreshes in). All heroes return to full HP, and your buffs and stage progress are cleared.
The entry screen also counts the stage types in the dungeon: Easy, Hard and Brutal. Dungeon 1 has 7 Easy, 5 Hard and 3 Brutal stages. From Dungeon 16 on, 13 of the 15 stages are Brutal. Enemy heroes are Lv.100 at the start of Dungeon 1 and Lv.480 at the end of Dungeon 31.
Rewards
- Each stage gives Expedition Coins: 6,000 per stage in Dungeon 1, 600 more per dungeon, and 15,000 per stage from Dungeon 16 on. You spend them in the Expedition Shop (Shop button on the Expedition screens).
- The completion reward is bigger the first time. Dungeon 1 pays 30,000 Expedition Coins, 200 Basic Exclusive Weapon Alloy and 100 Standard Exclusive Weapon Alloy the first time, and 30,000 coins plus 20 Basic Alloy after that. Later dungeons pay higher grades of Alloy, up to Premium.
- A dungeon you have already cleared can be swept. Pick it with the arrows on the entry screen and the button sweeps it instead of asking for heroes; you get its repeat reward.
- The Expedition Pass button opens a 30-tier pass (50 to 4,000 points) with a free and a paid track. The help text gives 100 points per stage cleared and 30 per fallen hero.
Example. Your first full clear of Dungeon 1 pays 15 × 6,000 = 90,000 Expedition Coins from the stages plus the 30,000-coin completion reward, so 120,000 coins, 200 Basic and 100 Standard Exclusive Weapon Alloy. Alloy is used for Exclusive Weapons, which open at the same level and day as Expedition.

Extreme Trial
Extreme Trial is a score event. You choose a difficulty, then make the enemy stronger with Stats, and the more Stats you add the higher your score. Easy, Normal and Hard can each be replayed as often as you like while the event runs, and only your best score on each counts. The event screen shows Event Ends In with the time left.
It needs player level 20, and the event itself is opened by the game server. The game data schedules one 3-day run per season in Seasons 1 to 3 on day 25, the day after the final results. From Season 4 it schedules two runs, on day 22 and day 46, each the day after a results day. The game itself doesn't check these days; the server decides when the event actually opens.
Waves and teams
Some difficulties have more than one wave, and every wave needs its own team, so you need at least as many teams as waves. All waves share the Stats you picked.
| Difficulty | Seasons 1–2 | Season 3 | Season 4 on |
|---|---|---|---|
| Easy | 1 wave | 1 wave | 1 wave |
| Normal | 1 wave | 2 waves | 2 waves |
| Hard | 2 waves | 2 waves | 3 waves |
Stats and score
Stats come in three tabs. ATK and DEF Stats (all enemy heroes get +ATK, +HP, +Crit and so on) have 5 levels worth 3, 6, 9, 12 and 15 points. Special Stats have 2 or 3 levels worth 5 to 24 points; they include enemy Invincibility at the start of the fight, a copy of your strongest hero fighting for the enemy, and a burn on your heroes. Easy only offers the 15 ATK and DEF Stats; Normal and Hard add 15 Special ones.
Score = 1 + the points of every Stat you picked. The most you can reach is 226 on Easy and 471 on Normal or Hard. The score only counts if you win, which means clearing every wave.
Example. On Easy you put all 7 ATK Stats at level 5: 7 × 15 = 105 points, so your score is 106. That clears every Easy reward tier, since the top one is 100.
Score and rank rewards
Score tiers can each be claimed once, as soon as your best score on that difficulty reaches them. Every tier pays 200 Diamonds plus 25 or 50 Coastco Coins and an item.
| Difficulty | Score tiers | Items in Seasons 1–2 | Items from Season 3 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Easy | 1, 20, 40, 60, 80, 100 | Legendary Hero Universal Fragments, Legendary Gear Material Choice, Exotic Hero Universal Fragments | Standard Silicon Crystal, Exotic Gear Material Choice, Exotic Hero Universal Fragments |
| Normal | 1, 30, 60, 90, 120, 150 | Legendary and Exotic Hero Universal Fragments, Legendary Gear Material Choice | Standard Silicon Crystal, Exotic Hero Universal Fragments, Exotic Gear Material Choice |
| Hard | 1, 40, 80, 120, 160, 200 | same as Normal | same as Normal |
All 18 tiers together are 3,600 Diamonds and 675 Coastco Coins. Coastco Coins are spent in the Alliance Merchant Ship shop; the Shop button on the Extreme Trial screen opens it.
Only Hard has a leaderboard, sorted by score, with ties going to whoever got there first. Rewards are sent when the event ends:
| Rank | Reward |
|---|---|
| 1 | Title - Unbreakable Conqueror, 20 Exotic Skill Books, 20 Premium and 10 Advanced Exclusive Weapon Alloy |
| 2 | 15 Exotic Skill Books, 15 Premium and 10 Advanced Alloy |
| 3 | 12 Exotic Skill Books, 12 Premium and 10 Advanced Alloy |
| 4–10 | 10 Exotic Skill Books, 10 Premium and 10 Advanced Alloy |
| 11–20 | 8 Exotic Skill Books, 8 Premium and 10 Advanced Alloy |
| 21–50 | 5 Exotic Skill Books, 5 Premium and 10 Advanced Alloy |
World Boss
The World Boss is a guard of the Marine Beast Lab that sits on the World map. It changes with the day of the week, and each guard has its own trait:
| Day | Boss | Trait |
|---|---|---|
| Monday, Thursday | Dolphin Lab Guard | High RES, attacks deal Energy DMG |
| Tuesday, Friday | Shark Lab Guard | Deals Physical DMG and reduces target Armor |
| Wednesday, Saturday | Octopus Lab Guard | Deals Energy DMG and reduces target RES |
| Sunday | Crab Lab Guard | High Armor, deals Physical DMG |
Open it from the World Boss button among the activity buttons; you need Fleet I built. Attacking works like any World target: choose fleets, and each fleet costs 300 Gasoline. The fight uses the World rules for carried-over HP and Durability described on Combat & Damage. The four guards have 200% Hit Rate, so Dodge does nothing against them.
What it pays
- Daily challenge reward: your first attack of the day pays a fixed reward for that boss. In Season 1 it is 160 Rare Genes of that day's beast, 10,000 Marine Beast EXP, 2 Recruitment Cards and 50 Diamonds. From day 15 of a Season 1 world it becomes 50 Epic Genes, 20,000 Marine Beast EXP, 60 Legendary Marine Beast Refiners and 50 Diamonds. Later seasons pay more Epic Genes and EXP (100 Epic Genes and 50,000 EXP from Season 5, with 20 Exotic Refiners instead of Legendary ones). On Sunday the genes come as a gene pack instead of one beast's genes.
- DMG milestones: 20 tiers per boss, reached by your best single attack (Highest DMG Record), not by the total of your attacks. Tier n pays n × 100 Diamonds plus genes, EXP and Gold, so all 20 tiers on one boss add up to 21,000 Diamonds. Each guard has its own milestone track.
- Daily rankings: you are ranked by your best single attack of the day, and rewards come by mail. Alliances are ranked by the combined best damage of their members, and the alliance rewards go to the Alliance Pack Vault.
The milestone thresholds rise each season and are the same for all four guards:
| Season | Tier 1 | Tier 10 | Tier 20 |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 50,000 | 5,000,000 | 40,000,000 |
| 2 | 500,000 | 9,000,000 | 100,000,000 |
| 3 | 500,000 | 20,000,000 | 250,000,000 |
| 4 | 1,000,000 | 40,000,000 | 500,000,000 |
| 5–7 | 10,000,000 | 240,000,000 | 1,500,000,000 |
Example. In Season 1 your best hit on the Dolphin Lab Guard is 125,000. You have passed tiers 1 and 2 (50,000 and 100,000) and can claim both, 300 Diamonds in total; the bar sits a quarter of the way to tier 3 at 200,000. Claiming takes every tier you have reached at once.
The personal ranking rewards are the same in every season. First place gets 240 Rare Genes of that beast, 100 Diamonds and an alliance welfare pack; then 210 genes and 80 Diamonds for 2nd, down to 110 genes and 40 Diamonds for places 501–1,000. Places after 1,000 get nothing. The top 10 alliances also get a pack.
Mechanical Slug
Mechanical Slug Invasion is a timed event (player level 18) with a server-wide boss on the World map. While the event runs, the boss spawns once a day for an attack window; the in-game help gives 12:00–13:00 (UTC+9). Everyone on the server hits the same HP bar. Each day the Slug takes a form that boosts the damage of one hero faction (Brotherhood, Freefolk or Cybernetic), so bring heroes of that faction. After the first 15 minutes of the window it takes 200% more damage and deals 67% less.
Each fleet you send costs 500 Gasoline. When the window opens the game asks Mechanical Slug has appeared. Join the battle?, and the Go button takes you to the boss. If the Slug survives the window it has less HP the next day; if it dies quickly it has more.
Rewards, as set in the current game data (the event items belong to the Full Moon Celebration):
- Daily Challenges: milestones at 1, 3 and 5 fleets sent that day, each 100 Diamonds, 1 Lucky Box Card and 20 Moonlit Wine.
- Damage ranking for the window, by total damage: 1,000 Diamonds for 1st, 800 for 2nd–5th, 600 for 6th–10th, 500 for 11th–30th and 400 for 31st–50th, plus Lucky Box Cards and Moonlit Wine. Places share the reward of the next listed rank, so 2nd and 5th get the same.
- Decisive blow: whoever lands the killing hit gets the title Final Strike, 1,000 Diamonds, 10 Lucky Box Cards and 250 Moonlit Wine, and their whole alliance gets a pack.
Hero Themed Dungeon
The Hero Themed Dungeon is a timed event built around one featured hero, for example Snow, Frost Monarch or Seth, the Warden. It opens at player level 16 when an event is running, and has five tabs: stages, orders, a lucky draw, a featured pack and a shop.
- Stages: 10 stages, fought in order. Every clear pays 200 Diamonds, 1 Hero Lucky Coin, and a Recruitment Card or Collection Voucher. All 10 come to 2,000 Diamonds and 10 Lucky Coins.
- Orders: 4 new orders unlock on each of the event's first 5 days, 20 in total. Each asks for goods from your base (Seaweed Wine, Hammocks and so on); if an order lists the same good twice, you need both amounts. Finishing 3, 6, 9, 12 and 15 orders gives 1 Lucky Coin each, and 20 orders gives 5 Exotic Hero Universal Fragments.
- Lucky draw: spend Lucky Coins on a 10-slot wheel, one at a time or 10 at once when you hold 10 or more. Draw-count milestones are at 10, 50, 100, 400, 800 and 1,500 (2,000 in later events). The 50-draw milestone gives the featured hero, and 100, 400 and 800 give 20, 40 and 60 of their Fragments.
Stages and orders give 15 Lucky Coins in total, so reaching the 50-draw hero takes at least 35 coins from other sources. The event's packs sell Lucky Coins. What each slot of the wheel gives is decided by the game server.
Notes
- Expedition's "Legendary" condition also counts Exotic heroes. The check is "Legendary or better", even though the text only says Legendary.
- Expedition only looks one dungeon ahead. When a cycle resets, the game offers the dungeon right after your best clear. If you don't meet its level or hero conditions yet, it keeps you on the last dungeon you cleared, which you can only sweep, and doesn't look further ahead.
- An unclaimed Expedition completion reward survives the reset. If you reached the end of a dungeon but haven't claimed the completion reward, the run stays open after the 48-hour timer runs out until you claim it.
- The Extreme Trial Pass button does nothing in this version.
- Extreme Trial remembers your Stats on this device only. Reset only clears your choices on the device and sends nothing to the server; the Stats are sent when you start the fight. On another device you may have to pick them again.
- The help text and the data name the Sunday boss differently. The World Boss help lists Sunday as "Unknown, Guard Form 4"; the calendar and the game data call it the Crab Lab Guard.
- The World Boss ranking pays Rare Genes in every season. Daily challenge rewards and milestones grow with the season, but the ranking table has one set of rewards for all seasons.
- Unconfirmed: how many times a day you can attack the World Boss. The game only marks your first attack of the day (for the daily reward) and does not block more attacks itself; the help text ranks you by your best attack "of the day", which suggests more than one is allowed.
- Unconfirmed: when World Boss milestones start over. Each guard keeps one best-damage record and one claimed tier. The season notices say World Boss records are reset at a new season; whether they also reset earlier is decided by the server.
- Unconfirmed: World Boss milestones in Seasons 8 and 9. The milestone table has Seasons 1–7 and 10 only, and the game looks up the exact season, so a world in Season 8 or 9 would show no milestones.
- Unconfirmed: Extreme Trial dates. The days above (25, or 22 and 46) are in the game data but the game doesn't use them; the server opens the event. The in-game help says only that the mode "unlocks at the start of each new season".
- Unconfirmed: what an Expedition sweep pays. The entry screen shows the dungeon's repeat completion reward for a cleared dungeon; whether the stage coins are added on top is decided by the server.
