VIP Levels, Monthly Cards, Season Pass & AFK Limits

VIP has 15 levels. You level it with VIP EXP, which comes almost entirely from top-ups: the VIP screen says every 1 Point topped up gives 10 VIP EXP, and a US$0.99 purchase is worth 100 Points. Each VIP level gives a set of privileges: more pirate and Trial sweeps, more Resident Requests, a longer AFK timer, and permanent unlocks such as Auto-Breed (VIP 8) and instant battle skip (VIP 9). Only your current level counts. The privileges don't add up from one level to the next. Besides VIP there are two Monthly Cards (30 days each) and, from Season 2, a Season Pass that lasts until the season ends.

Prices on this page are the US prices in the game data. The game shop shows the real price in your currency, so check the price there.

VIP EXP and leveling

You get VIP EXP in two ways:

  • Top-ups. Every purchase shows its Points next to the price, and each Point gives 10 VIP EXP. A US$0.99 pack is 100 Points (1,000 VIP EXP), US$4.99 is 500 and US$9.99 is 1,000.
  • The VIP Daily Free Pack. It gives 150 VIP EXP at VIP 1–2, 225 at VIP 3–5 and 300 from VIP 6, along with some items (table below).

The EXP in the table is what each level needs after the level before it. The bar on the VIP screen fills from zero again after each level-up. VIP 1 needs no EXP.

Example. You are VIP 1 and buy the VIP 1 Top-Up Pack for US$0.99. That is 100 Points, or 1,000 VIP EXP. VIP 2 needs 900, so you reach VIP 2 with 100 EXP toward VIP 3. Reaching VIP 9, where battle skip unlocks, takes 230,000 VIP EXP in total, or 23,000 Points. That is about 23 purchases of US$9.99. The Daily Free Pack gives at most 300 VIP EXP a day, so going from VIP 6 to VIP 9 on free packs alone (184,000 EXP) would take over 600 days.

What each VIP level gives

Every number in these tables is the full bonus at that VIP level, not an extra amount on top of the level before it. At VIP 6 you get 3 extra Discount Shop refreshes, not 2 + 3. The VIP screen marks entries that are new or bigger than at the previous level.

What the bonuses are added to:

  • AFK time: the base AFK timer is 6 hours. See AFK earnings below.
  • Pirate sweeps: 10 a day, plus VIP. At VIP 5 that is 20. More in World & Fleets.
  • Trial sweeps: 3 a day in each dungeon, plus VIP, plus 3 with the Standard Monthly Card. Only the first sweep of the day is free; the rest cost 50 Diamonds each.
  • Resident Requests: 40 a day, plus VIP. More in Resident Requests.
  • Discount Shop refreshes: 3 a day, plus VIP. The first 2 are free, every one after that costs 50 Diamonds.
  • City War Auto-Assign is locked until VIP 3. The number is the whole daily amount, not a bonus.
  • Gold Trades: 3 free trades a day, then 50 Diamonds each. The game server sets how many paid trades you get, so how the VIP number is applied is not published.

A factory can hold 50 of each processed good, plus the VIP number. Crops on the Farmland get five times that. At VIP 6 a factory stops at 60 of a product, and the Farmland stops at 300 of a crop.

Unlocks

These switch on at one level and stay on at every level above it. The VIP screen labels the first three Permanent Unlock.

  • VIP 6: Farmland Auto-Plant & Auto-Harvest.
  • VIP 8: Marine Beast Auto-Breed. See Marine Beasts.
  • VIP 9: Quick Battle Skip. The Skip button works at once in every battle mode, with no wait. See Combat & Damage.
  • VIP 9 and player level 35: automatic march and repair speed-ups for your fleets, paid in Diamonds. See World & Fleets.
  • VIP 10: Advanced Recruitment for Alliance cities. Each one uses an Alliance Recruitment Voucher, adds 10 Garrison and pays 5 times the normal Merit, up to 20,000. The VIP Daily Free Pack includes one voucher from VIP 10.

VIP packs

Open the VIP screen and page through the levels with the arrows. Each level has two packs.

Daily Free Pack. It is free, has Limit: 1 and turns into Claimed Today once you take it. You can claim the pack of your own level and of every level below it. When you open the screen it jumps to the lowest level whose pack you haven't claimed, and the arrows show a red dot toward unclaimed ones.

The Privilege Shop button on the VIP screen opens the VIP Shop tab of the Shop. Some of its items show Unlocks at VIP N. The items, prices and VIP requirements come from the game server.

Monthly Cards

The two Monthly Cards are on the Monthly Card tab of Benefits, which opens at player level 9. Each card lasts 30 days. Buying one gives its Purchase Rewards at once. After that, press Claim once a day for its Daily Rewards, and its Benefits stay on as long as the card runs.

Benefits of the Standard Monthly Card:

  • Factory 2x Production. Every factory gets a second production slot and makes two products at the same time.
  • Alliance Intel Auto-Clear from player level 30. The game's rules say Intel tasks then complete themselves when they refresh. What the card actually switches on in game is the Auto button on the Intel board, which claims every finished Intel event at once; see World & Fleets.
  • +3 Trial sweeps a day.
  • +4 hours of AFK time and +25% AFK Gold.

Benefits of the Premium Monthly Card:

Both cards can run at the same time, and their AFK bonuses then both apply. Days Remaining counts today as a day: a card that ends in 29½ days shows 30. When a card has run out, the button shows its price again. While a card is running, the button is Claim until you take the day's reward, and after that it buys the card again. The new end date is set by the game server.

Season Pass

The Season Pass is a paid card for the current season. It sits on the season screen under the Privilege Card tab. Season 1 has no Season Pass; from Season 2 it is available from day 1 of each season. It costs US$9.99 (1,000 Points) and runs until the season ends: Season Pass will expire when the new season begins.

  • Get Instantly (on purchase): 1,000 Diamonds, 5 Exotic Hero Universal Fragments, 10 Legendary Hero Universal Fragments.
  • Daily Claim: 500 Diamonds plus one reward you pick from each of three groups. You must pick all three before the first claim, or the game says Select a Reward. You can change your picks later.
GroupChoices
160,000 Seed, 60,000 Tech Points, 60,000 Gasoline, or 100,000 Material Choice Pack
23 Exotic Hero Universal Fragments, 5 Exotic Skill Books, 3 Exotic Exclusive Weapon Screws, 6 Legendary Hero Universal Fragments, 10 Legendary Skill Books, 6 Legendary Exclusive Weapon Screws, 6 Premium, 12 Advanced, 35 Standard or 80 Basic Exclusive Weapon Alloy
330 Legendary Crab Genes or 40 Legendary Gear Material Choice; from Season 2 also 20 Exotic Marine Beast Refiners or 20 Exotic Gear Refiners; from Season 3 also 5 Standard Silicon Crystals; from Season 4 also 30 Legendary Horseshoe Crab Genes; from Season 5 also 30 Legendary Mermaid Genes

Privileges while the pass is active:

  • Auto-Attack Pirates on the World map.
  • +25% Gear and Marine Beast development speed.
  • +10 Resident Requests a day.
  • +900 an hour each of Tech Points, Seed and Gasoline.
  • +25 Silicon Ore gathering reward attempts, from Season 3.

A daily reward you don't claim is mailed to you at 00:00 (UTC+9) the next day. According to the game's rules, days you missed are also mailed when you claim or log in, however late in the season you buy the pass. Mailed rewards use the choices you have selected at that moment, so nothing is sent if you have not picked all three. Nothing is resent after the season ends.

AFK earnings: time limit and bonuses

AFK rewards build up on the Exploration screen while you are away, up to a time limit. The limit is 6 hours, plus your VIP bonus, plus 4 hours while the Standard Monthly Card is active. When the timer is full, nothing more builds up until you claim. The AFK screen shows your real limit as (Up to …). After a claim you must wait a minute before you can claim again.

Two bonuses raise the hourly rates:

  • Gold per hour × 1.25 with the Standard Monthly Card.
  • Hero EXP per hour × 1.25 with the Premium Monthly Card.

VIP raises neither rate, only the time limit.

Example. You are at AFK Lv.10 and VIP 5 with both Monthly Cards. Your limit is 6 + 6 + 4 = 16 hours. Gold is 800 × 1.25 = 1,000 an hour, so a full timer holds 16,000 Gold. Hero EXP is 7,760 × 1.25 = 9,700 an hour, or 155,200 for 16 hours. Without the cards the limit would be 12 hours, at 800 Gold and 7,760 Hero EXP an hour.

AFK levels, the stage each needs, item drops per hour and the level rewards are on AFK Rewards.

Exact formulas
  • VIP privilege value = the value listed for your current VIP level, or 0 if that level does not list it.
  • Monthly Card bonus = the sum of that bonus over every card that has not expired.
  • Season Pass bonus = the listed value while the pass is paid for this season, otherwise 0.
  • Pirate sweeps a day = 10 + VIP sweeps + Monthly Card sweeps (no card has any in version 1.3.4).
  • Trial sweeps a day, per dungeon = 3 + VIP sweeps + Monthly Card sweeps − sweeps already used.
  • Discount Shop refreshes a day = 3 + Monthly Card refreshes (none) + VIP refreshes. Refreshes 1 and 2 are free, every later one costs 50 Diamonds.
  • Processed goods storage = 50 + VIP bonus per product; Farmland crops = 5 × (50 + VIP bonus).
  • AFK Gold per hour = base × (1 + Monthly Card AFK Gold bonus + VIP AFK Gold bonus). The VIP part is 0 at every level.
  • AFK Hero EXP per hour = base × (1 + Monthly Card AFK Hero EXP bonus).
  • AFK time limit = 6 h + VIP hours + Monthly Card hours (the server sets the actual end time).
  • Monthly Card days shown = floor(seconds left ÷ 86,400) + 1.
  • VIP EXP from a purchase = Points × 10.

Notes

  • VIP privileges are a snapshot of your current level. The game reads only the row for the VIP level you are at. Monthly Cards are the opposite: every active card adds its bonus, so the two cards' AFK bonuses add up.
  • The VIP list has AFK Gold and AFK Hero EXP bonuses that no level gives. Both names exist in the VIP data, but no VIP level has either one. The game also never adds a VIP bonus to the Hero EXP rate. AFK rates come only from the Monthly Cards.
  • The Monthly Cards don't add pirate sweeps or Discount Shop refreshes. The game checks the cards for both, but neither card has them in version 1.3.4.
  • VIP 5 needs less EXP than VIP 4 (8,000 against 10,400). That only makes sense because each level's EXP counts from the level before, which is also how the VIP screen's bar works.
  • Skip Ads (VIP 3) does not apply in the global version. The VIP data gives Skip Ads from VIP 3, and there is an Ad-Free Privilege Card. The global version has no ads, so the VIP screen hides that entry.
  • Monthly Cards won through the comeback top-up rewards give no VIP EXP. The comeback event's top-up rewards include a Standard Monthly Card, a Premium Monthly Card and an Auto-Produce card. Each one says it grants no VIP EXP when obtained that way.
  • The production and storage bonuses are applied server-side. Only the processed-goods storage bonus is applied by the game itself. Warehouse Capacity, Training Camp, Smelter and Marine Beast Training Camp bonuses are shown on the VIP screen but calculated server-side.
  • Unconfirmed: VIP EXP per Point. The VIP screen says 10 VIP EXP per Point, but the game server grants the EXP. Nothing in the game data confirms that every kind of purchase counts the same way.
  • Unconfirmed: whether new accounts start at VIP 1. VIP 1 needs 0 EXP, and the VIP screen cannot show a VIP 0. If VIP 1 applies from the start, a new account's AFK limit would be 8 hours rather than the 6 in the game's help text.
  • Unconfirmed: whether lower-level Daily Free Packs refill every day. The VIP screen lets you claim the pack of every level up to yours. Whether all of them come back each day is decided by the game server.
  • Unconfirmed: how the VIP Gold Trade bonus is applied. The base is 3 free trades and 7 paid ones a day. The game server sends the paid limit, so whether VIP adds paid trades, free trades or both is not visible.
