PvP: Arena, Point Match & Peak Clash

Wild Water World has three PvP modes. The Arena opens at player level 13 and is a daily ladder: you fight with your Exploration lineup, win to swap places with the other player, and get ranking rewards every night. Cross-server Point Match opens at level 25 and runs in weekly groups of up to 100 players. You fight with two or three preset teams, collect Point Coins every hour and get promoted or demoted every Sunday. Peak Clash is a 128-player tournament held every 35 days for the top 128 of Point Match's highest tier, Leviathan. Every player can still bet on it with Guess Points. In all three modes you fight another player's saved defense, and the battle runs on its own with the PvP rules from Combat & Damage, including overtime after 60 seconds.

Arena

Build the Arena at player level 13 (5 Building Blueprints, 130 Scrap Metal, 130 Glass). It has only one level. The Arena uses your Exploration lineup for attack and defense, so the Formation and Defense buttons in the Arena both open that lineup. Whatever you change there also changes your Arena defense.

Challenge Tickets

Each Arena fight costs 1 Challenge Ticket. You get a free ticket every 2 hours and can hold up to 10 that way. If you are out of tickets, tapping Challenge opens the buy window. Each ticket costs 50 Diamonds, and the game data sets no daily limit.

Who you can fight

The list shows the top 3 players, a set of opponents the server picks for you, and yourself, sorted by rank. Refresh asks the server for a new set.

  • Players ranked above you: tap Challenge to fight. If you win, you two swap ranks. If you lose, nothing changes.
  • Players ranked below you: the button says Sweep. You win at once, without a fight and without changing your rank. A Sweep still costs a ticket and still counts toward the daily challenge reward.
  • The top 3 can only be challenged once you are in the top 10 yourself.
  • If you win against someone whose Power is 70% of yours or less, the game skips the battle replay. The result still comes from a real battle.

Arena rewards

Challenge reward. Each of your first 10 challenges or Sweeps a day gives 150 Competition Coins, whether you win or lose, so 1,500 a day. After the 10th you get nothing extra.

Daily ranking reward. Your rank at 23:59 (UTC+9) decides the reward, which arrives by mail at midnight. While the results are being calculated, you can't start a challenge. Each band pays the row for its lowest rank, so rank 4 gets the rank-5 reward:

Arena Leaderboard (opening event). For the first days of a server (the rules say the first 7), the Arena runs a milestone event based on the highest rank you have reached. There are 28 milestones from No.10000 up to No.1. Reaching a rank unlocks that milestone and every lower one, and you claim each one separately. In Season 1 the full set adds up to 15,500 Competition Coins, 820 Speedups, 20 Recruitment Cards, 20 Collection Vouchers, the Avatar Frame and Chat Frame - Chaos Rising (HP +2% for all heroes, 30 days each) for No.1 and No.2, and two Formations: Crit Boost for No.3 and HP Boost for No.500. From Season 2 on, the list has no Formations and gives the same Coins and Speedups.

Cross-server Point Match

Point Match unlocks at player level 25, but in Season 1 you also have to wait until day 8 of your world (see Seasons). Before then the button tells you how many days are left. Challenges are open every day from 06:00 to 23:59:30 (UTC+9). Outside those hours the game calls it the off-season and you can't start a fight.

The weekly cycle

  1. Monday 06:00 (UTC+9): the week starts. Open Point Match to join a group. If you don't enter, you are not grouped and earn no Point Coins that week.
  2. Everyone starts the week with 1,000 points. Groups hold 100 players of the same tier; the Leviathan group has no size limit.
  3. During the week you fight, gain or lose points, and collect Point Coins every hour.
  4. Sunday 23:59:30: rankings lock. At midnight you get your ranking reward by mail and move up or down a tier.

New players start in Sea Slug. There is one catch in the rules: from Prawn up, if fewer than 200 players in total would be promoted, nobody at that tier is promoted that week. The main screen shows where you would end up if the week ended now ("Keep your ranking until finalization to enter Tier …").

Tier rewards are in Rewards → Tier Rewards. A tier's reward turns claimable once you reach that tier, and you claim them one by one from the bottom.

Teams and defense

You set up your teams under Formation: 2 teams from Sea Slug to White Shark, 3 in Kraken and Leviathan. A hero can only be in one of your teams. The same teams defend you while you are offline, and you can change the order they fight in. If you have fewer teams than your tier needs, Match Now sends you to the Formation screen first.

Tickets, matching and points

  • Tickets. Each fight costs 1 Point Match Challenge Ticket. You get one every 2 hours and can hold up to 10 that way. You can buy up to 20 a day: the 1st–10th cost 50 Diamonds each and the 11th–20th cost 100, so all 20 cost 1,500 Diamonds.
  • Opponents. Match Now offers 4 players, ideally within ±200 points of you. If there aren't 4, it offers 4 players ranked above you. You get one free Rematch; after that each Rematch costs 100 Diamonds. If nobody in your group is close enough, you get Your score is far ahead, no opponents can be matched.
  • Scoring. Your teams fight theirs, and the side with more team wins takes the match. A win gives points, a loss takes points away and a tie changes nothing. In Kraken and Leviathan, beating all 3 enemy teams (Perfect Victory) gives 3× points. How many points each result is worth is set server-side; the game only shows the change.

Point Coins

Point Coins build up by the hour. The Earning Rate on the main screen is your points × your tier's rate from the table above, rounded down. They pile up in a box until it reaches your tier's storage limit, and then stop. Open the box to collect them. Spend them in the Point Match Shop.

Example. On Monday you sit in Sea Slug with 1,000 points: 1,000 × 0.4 = 400 Point Coins an hour, so the 15,000 box is full after about 37½ hours. If you reach 3,000 points, you earn 1,200 an hour and fill the box in 12½ hours. In Leviathan, 1,000 points earn 1,500 an hour and fill the 55,000 box in under 37 hours. Collecting at least once a day keeps the box from capping in every tier until you pass about 1,500 points.

Weekly ranking rewards

Your final rank in your group pays Point Coins and Diamonds by mail. Each cell is Point Coins + Diamonds:

Peak Clash

Peak Clash is a single-elimination tournament between the top 128 players of the Leviathan tier, taken from the Point Match results one week before it starts. It runs for one week every 35 days, counted from the first day of the Group Round. If you qualify, the game says so (Congratulations, Chief! You've earned your spot in the Peak Clash!), and a King of Ring button appears on the Point Match screen. Peak Clash itself unlocks at player level 18. While it runs it shows up among the event icons, and anyone can open it to watch and to guess. The screen has three tabs: Schedule, Guess and Shop tab, which is Peak Clash's own shop.

DayTime (UTC+9)Round
Day 116:00 / 19:00 / 21:00Group Round, Rounds 1–3
Day 219:00Round of 16
Day 319:00Quarterfinals
Day 419:00Semifinals
Day 519:00Finals

The 128 players are split into 16 groups of 8 (Group A to Group P). Each group plays three single-elimination rounds on Day 1, and only the group winner goes on. The 16 winners are split into two halves of 8 for four more single-elimination rounds.

Teams and Power lock

  • Each match is best of three between 3 teams. Your teams start as a copy of your Point Match lineup, and you can change them separately in Peak Clash, including which Marine Beast each team carries. Teams fight in order of Power, highest first, for both players.
  • Power lock. You can adjust your teams until a set time before each round. After that your Power is fixed, and anything you upgrade only counts from the next round on. The lock comes 1 hour before Group Round 1 and before every knockout round, and 5 minutes before Group Rounds 2 and 3. For example, Round 1 at 16:00 locks at 15:00, and Round 2 at 19:00 locks at 18:55.

Levels are evened out

During Peak Clash the game sets some levels to the same value for everyone:

  • Every Marine Beast counts as Lv.250, whatever its real level. A Lv.350 beast is pulled down and a Lv.100 beast is pulled up. Its other stats stay as they are. Normally a beast can only go past Lv.250 once you reach player level 61 (see Marine Beasts).
  • Every hero counts as Lv.300, which is the normal hero level cap at player level 60. Stars, skills and gear stay as they are.
  • A few heroes are boosted. Peak Clash's Details → Hero Boosted tab lists the ones that apply this time. The game data holds four possible boosts, and the server picks which are active:
HeroBoost
Becky, Ironclad RavagerEnergy Cap −20, DMG Reduction +25%, DMG Increase +25%, HP Drain +25%

Guessing

Guessing uses Guess Points, which stay with you after the event ends and are spent in the Peak Clash Shop. Every player can take part, qualified or not.

  • Group winners. Before the Group Round you pick a winner for each of the 16 groups. It costs nothing, and you can change a pick but not withdraw it. Picks close 5 minutes before Round 1 (15:55 on Day 1). Each correct pick is worth 20 Guess Points, up to 320. On top of that, 10 combos of four groups (each row of four, each column of four and the two diagonals of the A–P grid) pay 50 each. A perfect 16 out of 16 earns 820. Claim these by hand before the event ends, or they are lost.
  • Knockout bets. From the Round of 16 you can back one side of each match with up to 300 Guess Points. You can add to a bet but not take it back, and you can't bet on your own match. Bets close 5 minutes before each round. If your side wins, you get your stake back plus a share of the losing side's pool in proportion to your bet, capped at 4× your stake. If it loses, half your stake comes back. Results arrive by mail after each round.
  • The Schedule tab also has a Daily Gift button that can be claimed once a day while the event runs.
Exact rules and formulas
  • Arena challenge reward for the n*th challenge of the day = 150 Competition Coins if *n ≤ 10, else nothing.
  • Arena daily reward = the first row of the ranking table whose rank is ≥ your rank; none past No.5000. Ranks past 9999 show as Unranked.
  • Arena Leaderboard: every milestone with rank ≥ your highest rank is claimable, one claim each.
  • Point Match earning rate per hour = floor(points × tier rate). Storage stops at the tier's limit.
  • Point Match ticket price for the k*th purchase of the day = 50 Diamonds for *k = 1–10, 100 for k = 11–20; no purchase past 20.
  • Point Match Rematch = free the first time, then 100 Diamonds.
  • Peak Clash lineup can be changed while (next match time − lock time − now) ≥ 0, with lock time 3,600 s (Group Round 1, all knockouts) or 300 s (Group Rounds 2–3).
  • Peak Clash bet room = min(300 − what you already bet on that match, your Guess Points). Guessing allowed while floor(next match time − now) ≥ 300 s.

Notes

  • Arena and Point Match use different lineups. The Arena always uses your Exploration lineup, so it changes whenever you rearrange that lineup. Point Match and Peak Clash keep their own teams, and Peak Clash takes its copy from Point Match.
  • Sweeping is not free. A Sweep against a lower-ranked player still uses a Challenge Ticket. Its value is the daily challenge reward: 10 Sweeps give the full 1,500 Competition Coins without risking a loss, but they don't change your rank.
  • Ranks 5,001–9,999 show a number but earn no daily Arena reward. The ranking table stops at 5,000, while the game only shows Not Ranked past 9,999.
  • The Arena Leaderboard rewards your best rank, not your current one. Getting knocked down later does not take away milestones you already reached, so a short push to a high rank during the first days of a server is enough, even if you can't hold the spot.
  • A late Monday costs you Point Coins. Until you open Point Match after 06:00 on Monday, you are not in a group and earn nothing for that week.
  • Peak Clash's level rule cuts both ways. Because levels are set, not capped, a player whose beasts are past Lv.250 loses that edge, and a player who is behind on levels catches up. What still counts is rarity, stars, skills, gear, badges and Exclusive Weapons.
  • Upgrades after the Power lock wait a round. Anything you upgrade after the lock only counts from the next round, so finish upgrades before 15:00 on Day 1 and before 18:00 on knockout days.
  • The tooltip and the Point Match screen give slightly different end times. The screen says rewards finalize at Sunday 23:59, the rules say results are calculated at 23:59:30 and rewards are paid at 24:00, and fighting closes at 23:59:30 every day. Treat 23:59 as your last safe moment.
  • Tier names differ by one letter. The rules text says Prawn, but the tier screen says Prawns. They are the same tier.
  • Unconfirmed: how many points a Point Match win is worth. It is set server-side and the game only shows the change. The game's settings also hold a ×3 multiplier for losing all three teams, alongside the ×3 for winning all three, but the rules text only mentions the win.
  • Unconfirmed: whether Point Match tier rewards can be claimed again. The game tracks the highest tier you have claimed, but nothing in the game data says whether that resets with a new season.
  • Unconfirmed: when the Arena Leaderboard event runs in later seasons. The end time comes from the server. The rules only mention the first 7 days after server launch, but a separate Season 2+ reward list exists.
  • Unconfirmed: Peak Clash Shop prices and the Daily Gift contents. Both come from the server when you open them.
